While World War II flick “Dunkirk” took home the top spot at the box office this weekend, Universal’s comedy “Girls Trip” also exceeding everyone’s expectations. “Girls Trip” starring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Tiffany Haddish and Regina Hall landed at number two in the box office. The film, which is the largest live action comedy film this year, brought in $30.4 million domestically. That’s $10 million in profits for the hilarious chick flick that only took $20 million to produce. Some of the film’s cast took to Twitter to bask in the excitement and thank fans for supporting the film. “Girls Trip” chronicles a hilarious girls trip to Essence Festival in New Orleans.
