Oscar award winning actress Viola Davis and her husband, Julius Tennon, will be executive producing a live one-hour special called “EIF Presents: XQ Super School Live.” Davis and Tennon partnered up with the XQ Institute and the Entertainment Industry Foundation to produce a television program that will help Americans understand the plight of our high schools. By combining live music, comedy, and documentary footage, “XQ Super School Live” will explore the past, present and future of the American high school system. The live broadcast will take place at the Barkar Hangar at Santa Monica Airport and air on ABC, FOX, CBS, and NBC on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 8 p.m. ET. “We are excited to team up with EIF and XQ Institute to help bring awareness to the issue of high school education and ensure that our students are receiving an education that prepares them for the future,” Davis and Tennon said. “As executive producers of this live special, we are honored to work alongside some incredible names in the entertainment and education space.” “XQ Super School Live” is produced by Done + Dusted and directed by Hamish Hamilton.
