Chance the Rapper is does a lot for the community, especially in the educational realm. At the recent SocialWorks Summit, the Chicago emcee announced the creation of a new annual awards show designed for educators. Named The Twilight Awards, the ceremony will recognize “teachers, parents, principals, and students that convey leadership” in Chicago-area schools. Chance also mentioned that the event will feature live entertainment and will be hosted by CBS late-night host James Corden. In addition to The Twilight Awards, Chance continues to support Chicago Public School’s in major ways. In March 2017, he donated $1,000,000 to CPS while at a press conference at Westcott Elementary School.
