Leave it to Rihanna to keep it as real as it gets. Rihanna has shined this entire NYFW with the launch of her new Fenty Beauty, the BMW fashion show and last night’s Diamond Ball. The annual Diamond Ball is, however, the singer’s pride and joy. It is held to help benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation, which was created in 2012 in honor of her grandmother. The foundation supports education, health and emergency initiatives around the world. It also assists college-bound Caribbean students with financial help to attend school in the U.S.. Rihanna was named Humanitarian of the Year by Harvard University and has been discussing global education initiatives with French President Emmanuel Macronto. The ball was a festive time for everyone. There were also an explosive performance by Kendrick Lamar and a comedy bit by Dave Chappelle. “The more you drink, the more inspired you’ll be to donate money … and help kids around the world,” Rihanna stated to her guests.
