We honestly do not know why THIS is a thing. Only an insane parent would want their kids plastered all over television and social media. But, we digress… Keyshia Ka’oir, 32, and Gucci Mane, 37, recently aired their spectacular wedding on the first episode of “The Mane Event.” The long awaited nuptials was star-studded and over-the-top, but unfortunately there was more talk of their kids versus the actual wedding. Rumors have been floating around for quite some time regarding the whereabouts of Keyshia and Gucci’s children. Well, recently Keyshia gave more insight on the topic to Wendy Williams. And, let’s say the beauty and fitness entrepreneur has a good reason why they’ve chosen to keep their kids out of the public’s eye. “That’s not true” Keyshia told Wendy Williams. “I left Jamaica at 10-years-old after seeing my dad get brutally murdered,” she admitted. “I came to America at that time at 10, and did all my schooling here. So, there’s no way I would have three kids at 10-years-old, it just doesn’t make sense.” “The thing with our children is, we don’t want them too much in the limelight,” Keyshia told Wendy about the kids appearing on the show. “They do live with us, they’re not in Jamaica. And, the internet are bullies and children are vulnerable so this is something Gucci and I came up with, we’re not going to put our kids in the spotlight and I said after witnessing my dad being murdered at 10-years-old, I’m super protective of them and it’s always going to be that way.” The untimely death of her father is the main reason why she’s “super protective” of their family. Keyshia’s father was brutally murdered because of “jealously.” She says her father was wealthy and friends were envious of him. Therefore, he eventually set up by those friends and killed. Keyshia reveals that more about their family life will be revealed on the show “The Mane Event,” which airs on Tuesdays on BET. So, be sure to tune in.
