Barack Obama is rumored to be collaborating with Netflix on a series of projects. According to MSN, a source claims the Obama and Netflix venture is a “production partnership” and there are talks that wife Michelle Obama will be involved. As inspiring as the Obama’s term in the White House, the Netflix project(s) will showcase positive stories of the American people. The opportunity would give the Obamas a platform to reach a global audience. Netflix has 117 million subscribers with 55 million of whom are located in the U.S.. The New York Times first reported the story stating that the details of the shows are not yet confirmed. However, two project ideas floating around are one where “Mr. Obama could moderate conversations on topics that dominated his presidency.” The other idea focuses on “…Mrs. Obama on topics, like nutrition, that she championed in the White House.” At the end of Obama’s administration, it was reported that he was interested in digital media and plans to do work in that industry.
