Music veteran Shirley Murdock, best known for laying DOWN the vocals to hits such as ‘As We Lay’ and ‘Husband’, has decided to lend her voice to R&B once again. Having spent nearly the last two decades performing in traveling plays and recording gospel music, Murdock makes it clear that her return to the genre is not a “flip-flop” between gospel and R&B.

She simply says,“I’ve got something to say again. It’s still going to have substance and be faith-filled. So I’m not changing who I am, but its just time to encourage a different audience.“

Songwriting and production for Murdock’s upcoming project which she plans to start recording in February will be overseen by one of R&B favorites, Kelly Price and producer Shep Crawford.
